Inspired by advanced performance-forward sailcloth technology, X-Pac has become a carry community favorite due to its durability, waterproofness, and impressive strength-to-weight ratio. For this summer's 2026 capsule collection, we constructed two sizes of our feature-packed travel bag in a stealth black X-Pac X42 shell and a covert coyote brown lining. In addition, we’ve added PU-coated YKK zippers to enhance CTB's protection against the elements.

The X-Pac X42 line is specifically engineered for gear that requires exceptional strength and durability without added weight. With a 420D face, waterproofness, and its signature “X” design, the shell is built for any season, location, or condition.
COYOTE BROWN INTERIOR
Unique to the X-Pac capsule: a coyote brown lining. The 420D HT Nylon lining with PU coating offers a covert hit of color and elevated gear visibility.
PU COATED YKK ZIPPERS
To further weatherproof our X-Pac collection, we’ve added on premium water repellent zippers with RC Coil. This unique oval shape is designed for additional exposure protection and to keep from being easily torn.
SIGNATURE PANEL LOADING
Full clamshell opening allows for easy packing when loading CTB. Internal mesh zippered pocket and opaque security pocket with drop-in pockets add additional internal organization.
ULTIMATE BREATHABILITY
Built from a two-layer construction of 3D spacer mesh and abrasion-resistant 194 denier TPU monofilament woven, the back panel is breathable, durable, and doesn't pill.
DUAL SIDE UTILITY POCKETS
Built from strong 4-way stretch woven, the two side pockets expand for larger items and maintain a low profile when empty.

I recently decided to change my travel carry strategy. One important part of that strategy is a day bag. I usually go a little further than is necessary for my gear, its just how I do things. I originally ordered the CPL 16L in xpac and as it happens from time to time you see something you like even better than what you have coming in the mail. So i ordered the CTB 20L in xpac/coyote. This bag is absolutely amazing. I couldn’t resist trying it on even with broken ribs its comfortable. It rides high and tight, excellent padding and straps, and will get just flat enough to fit in my suitcase for day pack duty in Europe.I have no doubt I made the right choice. Fit and finish are top notch definitely a serious piece of gear. No disrespect to the CPL i just liked the layout and pocket arrangement of the CTB better. The return of the CPL 16 was easy and seamless. You have earned a new customer.
Had regular version of CTB26 for almost a year now. Great backpack overall. Keep going back to it for shorter trips!
Great organizations, great use of space, best water bottle pockets and etc. Not perfect tho. I think most comes down to mixed identity.
As a travel bag, it's really on the heavier side. The internal lining is 420D, which is the same thickness as the outer fabric, and almost feels more rigid. The "pizza box" laptop compartment takes a lot of space, and feels quite overkill. This is also likely the main contributor to the weight. The #10 YKK main zipper, although not PU coated, is the most sticky one I have ever used.
As an EDC, the entire front section of the bag lacks structure. Unless you can use 70% of the volume everyday, it will look sloppy. Doesn't work for me as an EDC since I only need laptop in one day, and need shoe, change of cloth, and toiletry bag in another.
The "back digging" is real. Not too bad for me, but I can constantly feel the bottom of the back pannel leaning on my back. In summer days, there's a visible strip of sweat on my back, due to the upper back pannel is breathable, but that bottom stripe is not. I fixed this with an aftermarket back frame that contains a aluminum bar, which you can bent to your likings. Maybe this bag should come with such frame.
I LOVE this backpack . . . . more like 4.5 stars, but wanted to round up vs. down. The 26L is sleek, durable, stands on its own, and even when packed quite full it still fits under the seat in front of me on an airplane. Note, do dig the vertical entry on the front organizational pocket and the computer compartment. However, having to flip the bag horizontally for the luggage slide through is not my favorite. Additionally, the pack is not snug on the luggage handle so the weight shifts around a bit as it rides. Oh, I was surprised to see this pack get scuffed up fairly quickly considering it hasn't been in the outdoors and is used for frequent plane, train & automobile travel. I did get the X-Pac version as well when it was on sale. I have yet to use it, but have a hunch it doesn't get scuffed as easily. I know I am giving some mild critiques, but I really do love this bag. I show it off to all my colleagues and constantly send them the Evergoods website.
After 40 years of traveling with a backpack this is the best design and best construction of any I have used before. Was looking for a carry on pack that would carry my camera gear, be waterproof, and be comfortable enough to use for day hikes. This does it all and has plenty of extra room for an extra layer, gloves, hats and accessories to support each day. Thank you so much.
Love everything about this bag. 26L is perfect for travel. Organization and built quality are top notch. One thing though, the dangling straps are kinda annoying.
I spent a long time looking for a bag that I could use every day, take on 1 - 3 day trips, bring on a plane, and I think I've finally found the right one in the CTB20.
The CTB26 in Black X-Pac with the Coyote interior has been a great EDC bag for me. The layout and organization are excellent, and my CAP2, CAP .5, Sony headphones, and keyboard all fit comfortably without feeling too cramped.
I especially like the separate laptop compartment, top dump pocket, and yoke pocket—they make my everyday gear really easy to reach. The harness is comfortable and hugs my shoulders nicely, even when the bag is loaded.
My only small gripe is the top and side handles, which I wish were a little softer, I don’t see the need for the plastic insert. Otherwise, it’s a really well-designed, comfortable EDC bag, and the Coyote interior looks absolutely sick. Elegant exterior for the office with a rugged interior. I’m in love.
Terrific bag. Exactly what I was looking for. Excellent, organized storage that doesn't infringe on another section when you load it up. Great water bottle retention. Luggage pass through is welcome. Very top storage pocket perfectly fits a .5 pouch, and a secure and ample space for tables and laptops. A home run!
Ok, this backpack is a game changer amongst all other travel backpacks. Obviously the X-Pac material gives you the most stringent, waterproof protection for your valued gear. But the volume and sensible wide entry is perfect for small items (laptop, cables, batteries, etc.) but the wide zippered entry allows for easy and quick packing of a week's worth of clothes. The various pockets makes sense and there are thoughtful touches for reflective patches and passthroughs for rolling luggage. My favorite feature is the reinforced, padded shoulder straps which seamlessly flow from the main backpack compartment. This was a very wise design choice and should add to decades of durability. Evergoods, you've done it again! Thank you!
Extremely well thought out and executed bag. Super durable, great zippers, deep pockets that don’t take up space of other pockets when full (how is it even possible). Perfect every day carry bag and/or personal item to stow under your seat on a plane as it fits basically all airlines personal item dimensions requirements. Cannot recommend enough.
I've had the Civic Travel Bag (26L) for a little over a month now, and I can say without a doubt that it's my favorite backpack I've ever owned. The design and organization are well thought out, the materials feel premium and durable, and it's very comfortable to wear. I have yet to take it on a trip, but I'm itching to book something just so I can use it the way it's intended.
I've been searching for just the right size travel backpack, with just the right features, for years. I believe I may have found it. I also want to be able to use it as an everyday backpack, and this definetly fits the bill in that regard. Plenty of room for all my work gear and essentials, Looking forward to taking it on vacation!
After researching and comparing a wide range of travel backpacks, I decided on the Civic Travel Bag 20L, and it has been an outstanding choice.
I primarily use it for work travel, so I needed something that could maximize storage, fit comfortably as a carry-on, and still look professional without feeling bulky when walking into client sites. The CTB20 checks every one of those boxes.
The thoughtful organization is what really sets this bag apart. Everything has its place, making it easy to keep my laptop, tech accessories, documents, and travel essentials organized and accessible. Despite its impressive capacity, it remains compact enough to carry comfortably through airports and meetings without feeling oversized.
I agonized over the decision of which backpack to buy for multiple months. I had been using a backpack that was primarily for photography gear which was cumbersome for my current use cases. As I looked to replace it, I was looking for backpack that was versatile enough for EDC or light business travel, an "end game" backpack.
I was hesitant to pull the trigger given the Evergoods return policy. After a ton of online research, the CTB 26L looked like my ideal bag. I'm glad I decided to move forward. I'm just now incorporating it into my workflow, but I'm very happy with the fit and quality of the bag. I will update my review once I have the opportunity to use it for a while.
Purchased for my son for his first year of college along with a cap.5, cap2, and a new MacBook. He gets tons of compliments on his bag and everything works in harmony to organize him for school and travel. This bag goes with him everywhere! He travels for track constantly and his ctb is always in tow.
Well, this is the one. I admit, I have a thing for great bags, and this is one of the greatest. Absolutely beautiful in design, the X-pac, and coyote interior. Will hold a 16” laptop and and am a seasoned traveller - and this just jumped to the top of my list.

Is the CTB26 heavy? Yes it is, but I don't care, because when I put it on, it feels like a feather. The one suggestions for the Evergood teams is to learn from Able Carry. When you purchase one of their bags, the experience is top notch. Able Carry bags comes with a cover bag and their unboxing presentation make the experience unique. Apart from that, I'm really happy with the CTB26.
Side pockets really add to the carry capacity. Good for water bottles, umbrellas—anything you need quick access to or aren’t going to keep for long, e.g. submarine sandwich. Laptop pouch is excellent. Top compartment as well. Narrow enough to wear standing on subway. Comfortable worn on front moving through market. I vouch for it as a discrete and capable urban daily carry.
I was debating for so long on this bag. It turned out to be just what I needed. I currently have a 16" macbook pro and tried it with the 20L bag. That felt a little too small which made it hard to get my laptop in and out. I switched over to the 26L and it works perfectly as my EDC. I am pleasantly surprised by how comfortable this bag is and even in the midst of the summer heat seems to stay cooler on your back than any other bag I have had in the past. Would definitely recommend for any one looking for a good looking EDC.
Perfect travel bag. I use this for short trips and long trips. I have both the 26L and the 35L. Well-thought-out pocket placements, easy to use when the main hatch is fully or partially open, and comfortable to wear.
I tried multiple bags in this space before trying out the CTB. I get the hype. The thoughtful design and the Goldilocks size is the differentiator when I try to pick up a bag for short trips. Great bag, great quality and extremely comfortable to wear. For reference I weigh 200lbs and 5’11” height. Loving the durability and space of the bag thus far.
My son, a vet only buys the most versatile, highest quality, & most highly recommended items for business travel. When I told him I was going on a 2 year mission to the Solomon Islands with required travel to major outer islands, he told me this is the travel bag to take! It is exactly what i needed for my other side of the world travels! It is very versatile and can easily handle the monsoons and the equator's sun.

The panel load feature convinced me to buy it, and it really enabled me to travel with a carry-on suitcase for a 2 week trip overseas. Once I started using it, the (brilliant) handle on the side and the luggage handle pass-through became huge favorite features. I also couldn't help being impressed with the seemingly simple addition of loops to grip at the base of the panel zipper every time I had to close the loaded pack. This is a great travel tool!
20L in Green. Fits well on my 5'8 200lbs frame and doesn't cause my back to sweat. The laptop section holds laptop and iPad well and the abundance of pockets and cubbies keeps small things from roaming around while the bigger area is great for clothes, shoes, or random gear.
Got this bag for work and travel, 26l black. It's been a wonderful work bag with my laptop and assorted gear. It has been a joy from my older bike courier type bag I used to use.
I really bought it to travel, have not had the opportunity to do so but will in near future. It is the perfect size for under plane seat and it holds a ton as I have seen from my work endeavors. I have a trip to Ireland and western US coming later in the summer, fall. In 6-9 months I'm retiring and will put this bag on a heavy travel schedule! Looking forward to it!
Have been using this bag for a month so far and loving it. Perfect mix of enough organization and open space for daily needs. Using as an office carry and daily “dad” bag on the weekend. Pushed me to purchase a CAP2 pouch and 2l sling as well!
I recognize myself in the product; even though it has so many pockets and storage space, I never lose anything. What struck me most? The smoothness of the PU-coated zippers: I've never experienced that on other products. The look is phenomenal; it almost stealthily follows me, and it's nice to find someone who notices and appreciates it.
Superb design and excellent materials. This is my everyday EDC bag for work. From stretchy water bottle pockets to almost endless organizational pockets with plenty of dimension. The side access laptop sleeve is a game changer.
