Inspired by long-time favorite backpack silhouettes, CB22 blends the function and intuitive access we're known for with a nostalgic form.

Old bookbags were unlined floppy sacks. CB22 is fully-lined and fully-featured. Loaded with our signature harness for all-day comfort and a large front admin pocket that provides built-in organization for your daily pursuit. This upgraded classic is constructed in our custom-made, abrasion-resistant balanced ballistic 840D nylon and is finished with a fully lined foam bottom, for gear protection and structure.

We patterned the front admin pocket with independent volume. It is large enough to fit a CAP1, packable jacket, or notebook – even if the main cavity is stuffed.

Our admin pocket also contains 2 drop-in pockets sized for phones or passports, and 1 drop-in slot for a pen or knife. Key leash included.

PANEL LOADING DESIGN

Whereas some main cavities of classic book bags are dark cavernous pockets, CB22 offers a full panel loading design for easy packing. The internal cavity also contains a padded and suspended stretch laptop compartment and an opaque security pocket.

This bag is great. It's a bag you're familiar with already as it's an ubiquitous style from your school days and blends right in most anywhere. It's not loud and overly technical. All of the pockets on this bag are helpful. I use the glasses pocket for my sunnies and air pods. The small outside pocket carries the random little things the come back and forth with me. Main compartment is ample, carries my sweater or coat, camera and the book and notebook I carry land right in the laptop sleeve keeping them from being thrashed around inside the bag. I give the bag four stars because I'd love to see a water bottle holder on the outside. More for exterior tripod carrying than water but I have found myself shopping around for a new bag that I think is otherwise perfect. I think if this bag got an update with the water bottle holder, I'd pick that up too. Evergoods is not adventurous with colors but seeing something other than black or the increasingly boring and masculine tan and olive would be welcome.

Pros: - Awesome high-quality materials and construction - Smoothest zippers I've had on any EG bag (though can still get slightly hung up in the corners where the binding bulks up). - Smooth, breathable and comfortable back panel - Can self-stand when packed out right Nits/notes: - Despite the straps being plenty beefy, they seem more suited to flat shoulders so tend to dig into my traps, even when worn high and tight. Carry comfort is just OK. - The top handle is extremely flush to the bag, and I found myself fumbling around for it on a few occasions. It's also not going to work very well for hanging the bag from a hook. - The front pouch is not very convenient to access by swinging the bag around (even after loosening both straps). - Nowhere to really store a damp umbrella (stretch side pockets are perfect for this, and would have been killer on this bag).

Love this pack. Had my eye on it for awhile, snagged it on sale and couldn’t be happier with it. I really appreciate the Evergood’s “design ethos” but I don’t think most of the packs really fit my style. I want a bombproof pack that doesn’t look out of place anywhere, doesn’t scream “ask me about my cool bag” or “please steal my awesome bag! It’s filled with expensive equipment.” The CBB22L is the definition of quiet luxury. The organization, ease of use and robust construction means knowing you have a bag that you can rely on, and that’s the best feeling.

As a 90s kid I used to used Jansport, Eastpak, Outdoor backpacks as my school bag. It has been nice to see a more modern version of the bag as a edc bag for work (I use it with CAP2 and CAP1). Thoughtful pockets makes taking out and stuffing things I need easy on my commute on bus and metro.

It has been my "daily driver" since I got it back on Feb 13th. My daily commute to work is public transportation so I need to be able to get it it on and off quickly or just switch to single strap use. The materials used make that easy because it just slides regardless of what kind of coat or jacket I'm wearing. The Bag is Very comfortable and well balanced when loaded. The shoulder straps remain comfortable even with a heavy load. I just have an issue with the main compartment zipper sliders.. Too much friction / resistance as they move over the upper right corner. I hope a 2nd version is made (approx 25L) allowing for a sep laptop compartment!

This backpack exceeded my expectations, very impressed with the design, quality and functionality. The 840D nylon has a distinct tactile sensation, feeling organic and pleasant to touch. The zippers are robust, smooth with little resistance. Each compartment can store items with little to no interference into other areas, maintaining efficient capacity. The absence of a side water bottle pocket enhances the aesthetics providing a minimalist design. The front lower compartment can comfortably store a 20oz Sigg water bottle, along with keys attached to the loop strap. It’s also very comfortable to carry, have not experienced any discomfort.

Initially saw this bag and had that 90s nostalgia hit of Jansport and Eastpak backpacks a lot of us had. Read a lot of good things about Evergoods quality and construction and picked this up at such a good sale price last December along with a CAP 2, 0.5, and a CAS 2. It has quickly become my favorite daily EDC and fits all those organizational pieces and a 18oz. water bottle with room to spare. I actually don't mind not having an external water bottle pocket on this one to maintain the clean and simple aesthetic. I don't overpack so accessing the rear sleeve is no issue for my work issued 14" MacBook Pro. Love the option to half zip to access the top internal pocket or full panel zip to get to the rest. Love it so much! A simple, clean, and functional bag that brings me back. Thank you for bringing a bit more fun to the daily carry!

Honestly, this bookbag, with the old school look, really fits my vibe: a mix of causal and urban. One day, I might upgrade to a different page, but I can already see how this might just be the BIFL bag for me. I got this on sale and I am very pleased with the purchase. I have the griffin edition it’s new to me and I have to say this is an almost perfect bag hence the 4/5. I really hope they implement a few things in v2 down the line. The size is perfect for my everyday carry. Not too big like most other bags. All it needs is a 2 way zip on the front pocket a dedicated side laptop sleeve like on the cpl and an internal water bottle holder. Now when I say that I mean some sort of little strap to keep it up right. Nothing crazy. Possibly even removable for people who don’t want it. Lastly would be a slightly bigger yoke pocket. Other than these changes it’s a legitimate all star bag. More waxed canvas please!

Definitely a bag I will keep for a very long time. Absolutely love the form factor. I can't give it five stars because of the laptop compartment—especially when there is a much better one in the PLC20. But this is as good as a book bag can get. I know many people complain about no water bottle pockets. It is fine for me, I don't carry water bottles that often. However, when I do, it does fit into the front pocket quite well. For bags that don't have water bottle pockets, I do wonder if they can be implemented not on the outside, but as a side pouch that can optionally take up space in the inside compartment. It would solve the issue of keeping the silhouette of the bag while having an OPTION to use it for water bottle pockets or another organizing pocket.

A beautiful upgrade to the classic bookbag. I really love the silhouette and build of the CBB22. It captures that nostalgic high-school look but with the premium materials and harness system Evergoods is known for. It’s a joy to carry, and the internal organisation is very thoughtful. However, there are two things that would make this the perfect bag for me. First, I really miss having a stretch water bottle pocket on the outside; even just one would make a huge difference for quick access. Second, I find myself under-utilising the large front pocket because I’m worried about pickpockets in crowded areas. I’d love to see a way to lock the zippers or at least an integrated loop to use an S-Biner for extra security. Still a great pack, but definitely a "version 1" that could be even better with a few urban-focused tweaks.

I got the Griffin edition and what can I say, this is a retro, classic-looking, high quality piece of carry equipment. While the bright orange interior may not be for everyone, it certainly makes looking for anything a breeze. The waxed canvas outer shell is both understated but eye catching once you notice it. Highly recommended 22l bag as it feels like it could store more, especially with the large front compartment which has its own independent volume.

This is my 3rd evergoods bag. I had a chz22 and cpl24 before this. This is my favorite bag. All amazing, but this bag just fits perfectly for everyday use. It doesn't have all the compartments of the cpl24 or water bottle holders, and I would still recommend the cpl more if you carry a laptop everyday. But the nostalgic feel of this bag is the best. Love it!

As someone who has to fly commute 3 days a week, this thing is a godsend. A simple, extremely well built, low key "IYKYK" bag. Holds a 16" macbook, half the compartment isn't taken up with useless dividers, doesn't look like an overstuffed turtle shell & carries like a dream even when full. I honestly love the lack of external waterbottle pockets / useless flappy/clacky external straps & buckles that get hung up under plane/transit seats & going through TSA. I have a carabiner clipped to the loop by the grab handle to carry a water bottle if I can't stash it inside. A packing cube with 3 days of clothes, dopp kit, laptop + accessories, and room left over for my ipad mini or switch so I'm not bored sitting at airports, and I'm good for 3 days onsite with no roller bags or other luggage. I love it so much I ordered the CAP 2/1/0.5 and the 10L cube to complete the set.

After many months of being on the fence about this bag I finally caved in. The only reason this is not five stars is the lack of a water bottle pocket and a more padded laptop sleeve. Or hey maybe even a dedicated laptop sleeve. I'm a university student and I'd like to think this style bag is targeted for students. With that said students want their laptops protected in their packs. And their water bottles and drinks not in their packs. Sooooo close to being perfect. Love the silhouette of this pack reminds me of classic bookbags for school. So close EG soooo close.

I sold the 24L panel loader and purchased the bookbag. It's a smaller bag but large enough to hold daily essentials. The appearance of the bag strikes a balance between new and timeless.
