I love the look of the tan color and the layout! The fabric is also awesome, I got this and the CTB26. The CTB26 is probably more functional for me, but I liked the fabric and aesthetic on the CPL24 more. It feels like it’s really well made and is going to last forever. My complaints: - the shoulder straps have flaps presumably for a camelback. I will never use that feature and the flacks stick up / are loose in a way that looks kinda dorky. I wish they weren’t there or at least didn’t stick up like they do - the back panel has been fine so far, no issues, but not as comfortable as other packs. - I wish there was something to hold the loose straps down on the shoulder straps. There’s a lot of extra material flapping around with the way I have the straps adjusted. Overall a great bag and I’ll use it for a long time, but not 100% perfect!

I’m honestly shocked with the amount of items you can fit into this bag. Every time I think I’ve found the limit, I can somehow fit more. I have used this bag in every scenario from everyday wear to climbing Mt. Fuji and it did everything excellently.

I have had the 24L pack for a while now, and it is an absolute beast. I'm always surprised how much this thing can hold! From home to work with my laptop, water bottle, lunch, and the 2L Civic Access Pouch, to trips packed down with clothes and a dopp kit, this pack has come through. That said, it does have two significant downsides that kept me from giving it 5 Stars. The major problem is there's no luggage passthrough. When I have my roller luggage, I want to be able to sit my backpack upright on the top so that I have a slim profile walking through tight spaces like an airplane aisle. The other more minor problem is that there's no dedicated water bottle sleeve, even on the inside. Now, I know what you're thinking: "You should have just got the Civic Travel Bag instead". Yeah, maybe, but the silhouette of this bag is so nice, and I'm a sucker for aesthetics. Plus, the luggage passthrough is horizontal, and I don't want to put my bag on its side.

Was initially hesitant given the price but I absolutely love this bag. I travel frequently for work and this is now my default carry on and office bag. Durable, compartments for everything I need even at 16L. Plus it just looks good! Zero regrets with this purchase.

Totally happy with it, you can see it's great quality. Have been using it for a month as EDC (going to work w/ computer and notebook as well as going in the woods under the rain) with no issue, I'm sure it'll last at least 10 years. Have been through heavy rain with it without a single droplet inside. I particularly like the handle on the side, which lets you carry it like a suitcase, very useful in summer when you don't want to sweat on the back. Only little downside : they don't sell it in grey. Black show dirt or sun cream stains more easily, I have to clean the bag more often than my previous grey one.

The CPL is the GOAT of organization. I own 14 backpacks - I acknowledge I may have a problem - none the less the CPL has my favorite organization of any of the bags I've owned. I have the 16L in 840d ballistic nylon, it's an absolutely beautiful bag and feels classic and durable. I love the material. It's my main EDC at this point and the bag I use the most often when heading the beach with my pups or to a local cafe. I really wish it came in a 20L, I know the CTB comes in a 20 as well but the CPL is more streamlined, I love the side access admin pocket and I don't really need a hydration pocket.

I bought the CPL24 as a birthday gift for my husband. At first, he thought it was a bit pricey, but after using it every day for a week, he told me it was absolutely worth it. He says it's incredibly comfortable on his shoulders, even when it's fully packed, and there's plenty of room for everything he needs for work. I snagged the X-PAC edition CPL16 on a whim while on sale and like it! The material looks great - feels more premium than the Aer X-PAC stuff I have, and the bag is a great size for modest EDC loads. My one issue is that I’m still getting used to tightening and loosening the straps, which I’ve never had to do with a backpack before; the desired high and tight carry for Evergoods bags means I have to tighten the straps a lot, which makes it hard to take off the bag or doff it without loosening the straps first.

It’s stiff and thick yet remarkably lightweight, which means it holds its shape beautifully—something I absolutely love. The Coyote Brown interior is also a fantastic touch. It’s incredibly comfortable on my back, too. Snagging the X-PAC version on sale was definitely the right call. It was worth every penny, even with the proxy shipping fees and customs duties to South Korea.

Love it. Zippers are a bit rigid but they wear in a little, the 16L is perfect for back and forth to work. I would travel with a bigger size, not this one, just a bit too small.

I've been on the quest to find the best EDC backpack for 2-3 years now, I purchased 5 different backpacks and I stopped after owning the CPL for a few weeks. You can see I also complemented it with plenty of accessories, which I think is a must to take full advantage of the brand's packing system. I LOVE the orange, I love the heftiness of the zippers, I love the zipper pulls (so simple, but what an impact!), I love how it has a side handle, I love the large main compartment but also how it has plenty of small compartments for organization. And how do other brands not allow you to access your laptop from the side? So much better! The form factor is nice and sleek due to the lack of an external water bottle holder - something to be aware of when buying this one. When I travel I prefer using the CTB for that single reason (my daughter and wife have me carry their water bottles ;-)). I must say they do need to bring back some fun colors again. BLUE PLEASE! :-)

I like the size of this bag. There’s a lot of room for just a daily commuter bag and *just enough* for a travel personal item/carry on. It’s a very understated look (which I like) and fits well under an airplane seat, even with my legs being quite long (6’4”). There are a few quibbles, though. I wish there were a few attachment points within the main compartment to hang a clip, just so everything doesn’t fall to the bottom. The top handle also had a tendency to slump down and be hard to find if the bag isn’t fully packed out. I do see what other reviewers have mentioned about the bottom of the bag digging into your lower back. It’s not something I would have really noted if people didn’t mention it though. Even though this is a really new bag it feels like it’ll wear and age well.

This is an insanely well thought out bag. The storage is great in it - just took it to Hawaii where it carried my stuff and stuff for 2 kids on hikes and beaches no problem. The easy access to so many different spaces is incredible - the fact that it opens fully but also works so well when you just need one little thing is its super power. Physics defying comfort, too. For the first 2 weeks I had to double check that my laptop was in there. It’s so light on your back it’s hard to tell. Really just an all around winner and a joy to use

I work in IT and routinely am trying to hold a laptop while doing random stuff in a dusty IDF. The ability to sling this bag over my left shoulder is amazing. I can get to everything in the bag without taking it off. I was hesitant about the organization but now that I’m almost a year in a love it! It also still looks brand new aside from some dust I need to wipe off lol Not a single frayed stitch or any sign of wear Only complaint is the lack of strap keepers! You could literally through some o rings on Velcro in there to be used to keep extra strap secured and not flapping all over the place.

The textile quality of the backpack is excellent; it feels very high-quality and quite durable. I’ve already taken a couple of trips with it and I don’t regret the purchase at all. Customer service is also very good. Just as an observation, international shipping via FedEx can run into significant customs delays.

I ordered the CPL16 alongside the AER City Pack 2, both 16L bags. I am coming from the AER Travel Pack 3 and needed to downsize for my EDC. Long story short, I am keeping the CPL16! The CP2 is a tremendous bag and would still recommend it but there is something about the CPL that just works! It’s got everything you need and nothing you don’t. Sometimes AER bags give “office only vibes” and the CPL felt more versatile outside of work. It also carries like an 18L pack whereas the CP2 is a true 16L. I’ve been obsessed with it the last 2 weeks. While I am giving it 5 stars, some minor additions would be nice: detachable key leash with multiple hook points alongside a dedicated AirTag pocket and some strap keepers. I also wish they would upgrade the yoke pocket to a nicer lining, maybe microfiber or stretch mesh. Other than that, this bag is gold!

The bag is made of high quality water resistant materials. While the bag design and build is really good, I have a few nitpicking: The bag doesn't stand on its own, and compared to other top-of-the-line backpack, it doesn't have as much internal organization pockets as the other backpacks in the same price range.

Just recieved my bag, Immediately switched everything from my Goruck bullet. I am 6’2” 225. I only included my height and weight beczuse as much as I love my Goruck bullet, when loaded it can be uncomfortable to wesr based on my size and I know that i could jumo to a larger bag but prefer a lower profile bag for work and based on what I carry for an everydsy bag - My laptop, My ipad pro, notepad and other files. I started searching for a new bag based on how the straps come over the shoulder, directly over the top or somewhat canted to the sides. I chose the CPL after doing my homework for a fee months and other reviews. I also wanted something that had a professional office look. Im glad I decided on thid bag because its extremley comfortable and holds what I need. I did immediately take off the chest straps because of my size they were at my throat. The bag also feels made very well and durable. Happy with this purchase and will be my new go to everyday bag.

I’ve been using the CPL24 as my daily carry and travel bag since 2018 and I love it! Because of this bag, I have become a loyal Evergoods fan and as a family we now own 4 Evergoods bags and I’ve convinced many friends to buy them as well. The best part of the bag for me is the comfort. I’m 5'8" 140 lb, and even when the bag is fully packed, it remains quite comfortable. The shoulder straps distribute weight evenly, so there is no one point on my shoulders that it feels like it is pulling. Otherwise, I love the sleek black aesthetic that sits high on my back (e.g., when it isn’t full it is very slim and almost looks like it self cinches), the utilitarian organization, the durability (e.g., after 7 years of heavy use I have had zero issues and the the bag still looks new), and when I fully utilize the interior pockets on the front panel, the CPL24 can hold a full week’s worth of travel. I’ve used it as my sole carry bag for ~15 different 4–7 day trips all over the world. One of the bag’s upgrades introduced after my 2018 version that I think is probably really great is the addition of the laptop sleeve with a Velcro strap inside the laptop compartment. My version has an open laptop pocket, and as a right-handed person who slings the bag over my right shoulder, I’ve thrown my laptop out of the bag more times than I care to admit. But the new version of the bag with the laptop sleeve and strap likely greatly improves its use. That said, the fact that I’ve remained loyal to the CPL24 despite this (mostly user) issue in the older version of the bag probably says the most about how much I love this bag!

How much can CPL16 load? Answer: a lot! The horizontal access is mind blowing, soooo comfortable. The bag stands on its own on the horizontal side. It can fit a MacBook Pro 14 in its sleeve (Native Union sleeve) in the laptop compartment. It can also fit the Nintendo Switch 2 in the original slim case putting it in horizontal (with the bag standing in vertical, just as a reference). I work as a scientist researcher, and I’m in love with the CPL16. When I arrive at the office I put the bag on the horizontal side, open the front admin taking off my A5 notebook with some protocol, the main compartment for the CAP2 (as a desktop caddy) and the laptop compartment, pulling of the MacBook and my A4 lab notebook.

I bought this to replace a CPL16. I greatly liked that bag for my EDC, but there were times where I just needed a little more capacity. This is the exact same big just bigger capacity. Luckily it still maintains a pretty slim profile and doesn’t look too much different from the 16 on me (5”11, 180lbs)

Current daily driver for work, meets and exceeds expectations. 24L was the perfect choice, I’m 6’ and 215 lbs. Debated between 840d and the Waxed Canvas. As a first Evergoods bag decided to go with the OG 840d, no regrets. Now for the “which color for the access pouches?” dilemma.

The Civic Panel Loader 24L is as good a backpack as I could hope for. I get excited each time I wear it—each time I open up the clamshell. The materials are the best I’ve felt in a bag. The compartments are smartly designed; it’s easy to decide where to put things. It’s efficient with space. The pockets don’t impose on each other. There’s a good place to stash an AirTag where the metal frame is exposed. Its design is subtle enough to be worn with semi-formal attire, but wouldn’t stand out on a hike. It sits high on the shoulders by design, which could be a problem for bikers/bicyclists. It won’t be comfortable if you let out the straps, but it is comfortable with the straps tight. Attached are photos of how the 24L looks on my back, (6’3”). I think it’s a good looking backpack, but you’ll decide that for yourself. It is durable enough that it still looks new after one year of school use. It contains everything I’ve ever wanted to bring to campus, (engineering, commuter). The mesh pocket in the front access is rough enough to scratch leather. I wish the red key loop was in the front access rather than on the top pocket. The pen loops are a bit awkward to use, but I’ve seen people use them to attach pouches. I had to think hard to find the above issues with the bag, you should know. It’s clearly a well thought out design, down to details like counter-pulls for zippers. I ended up buying three Evergoods pouches after a year of being so pleased to own their backpack. Well done.
