CIVIC Daily Tote 24L - X-Pac

I’m loving this bag. It’s a great execution of a classic concept. From the magnets, to the organization, to that stash pocket I never thought I needed and now can’t live without. I only wish for two things. One: for a slightly smaller version for when there’s no need to take a lot with you. Two: that I hadn’t listened to some of those “reviewers” and gotten this bag sooner. Yes, we live in a backpack-dominated country, so a tote bag will turn heads sometimes. But masculinity is how you carry yourself. All I know is that I love this bag and I love how easily I can reach for my makeup.

CIVIC Daily Tote 24L

As a new parent, and a longtime ManyBagger and EVERGOODS fan, I refused to purchase an overpriced, low quality diaper bag and instead went with this Civic Daily Tote in my favorite bag material, X-PAC. My wife was a bit skeptical but when we rec’d it and I got everything setup, she was pretty amazed with the quality, volume, convenience of the organization and most impressed with the magnetic closure. We were previously using another EDC brands tote but it was too small and didn’t close at the top causing items to fall out if the bag tipped. This bag feels bulletproof, is super convenient, the perfect size and after it’s done with its baby duties, will most likely become one of my EDC bags. Thank you EVERGOODS. The only thing I would ask is for an opportunity to purchase this tote in Kombu material. It sold out as I was checking out on release day and I regret not getting on the site minutes sooner so I could get one. Cheers everyone!

I bought this tote hoping it would work for my gym needs. I couldn't make it work for that use case the way that I wanted so I sadly sent it back. I really tried to talk myself into keeping it but feared just hanging on to it and it sitting idly because I honestly love this bag. I'm likely going to end up purchasing it again because I thought it was that good. I just need to find an excuse to use it. I've owned several totes and this has been my favorite regardless of the outcome.

I'm a big EDC and /onebag guy so I've owned products from Peak Design, Bellroy, Nomatic, Topo, etc. But my tote from Evergoods is by far my favorite bag I've ever owned. The attention to detail and build quality is incredible. I've had multiple people compliment the bag, it's subtle but stands out in the best way. And has some TARDIS magic happening where it's so much bigger on the inside than the outside. I'll be exclusively buying Evergoods gear going forward.

CIVIC Daily Tote 24L

I really like this bag - I bought it the minute it came out, for for a couple reasons. First, one of my absolute favorite bags is the Briefcase. I was using it all the time...but it also wasn't big enough to carry everything I needed for work. Since the Tote is a bit bigger, I figured it would do the trick. So far, it has done it wonderfully. It has the computer slot, so I knew I could essentially use this bag in lieu of the Briefcase. Second, I was also excited about some of the new design features. The magnetic handles and closure are really slick ideas. I can easily grab the bag if I'm sitting at desk or at a coffee shop, and the magnetic closure makes it easy to access the bag contents quickly and quietly - particularly nice if I'm in a library or in a meeting. Unfortunately, the bag has one major issue: it doesn't hold its shape. The bag slouches to one side - as far as I can tell the issue is the weight of the computer holder, which tips over to the side of the bag where the zipper pouch is on the outside. This is particularly pronounced if the laptop is in it, and typically results in the bag tipping over. At this point, the bag has a permanent slouch to it, so no matter how much I try, it has taken the natural form shown in the photo. Lastly, the handles have lost their gusto - they no longer stand up straight. which is a bummer. I am the biggest Evergoods fan (I have an entire closet dedicated to their bags), so I am bummed to be writing this review, but I know the guys will read it and make adjustments. What I really want is a slightly bigger Briefcase. The new Duffle is so close...but it doesn't have the computer insert sleeve, which I really like for organizing computer and tablets.

I got this in the limited edition Konblu blue because the material looked so interesting and I need a beach tote that could safely carry my laptop. I’m just delighted with it. It has just enough organization for everything I need to carry. The laptop and notebook pocket is great. The organization is also usefully flexible—there’s space behind the laptop pocket that you can use or not without wasting space, and the side bottle pockets fold out of the way of you’re not using them. I also appreciate that it’s rigid enough to stand upright, either the straps staying upright too. I find myself trying to figure out if I need another one for some other use case.

4.5/5 - Could it be improved? Sure, but I still love this thing. It's the most feature-rich tote I've ever owned and does the job of carrying everything I need for work. I love the magnetic opening, although it can be challenging to close when packed out, and the luggage pass-through works great. The large open dump pocket in the back is more useful than I initially thought. However, it’s heavier than it needs to be, and the admin panel should have been gusseted for expandable/usable volume when packed out. The admin panel organization pockets are too small and only useful for the smallest items since they don't expand; mesh pocketing would have been way more useful here. I wish there were an extra bit of internal organization, like some mesh slip pockets or even just a large zippered dump pocket in place of the "tablet" pocket.

I purchased the Konbu version. Love the color and texture of the fabric but hated how it attracted everything to it. The deal breaker was the shoulder straps. One of them just pops off your shoulder and the other slips right off your shoulder. Needs more padding too. The storage and organization is on point. Love that part. Love and hate the magnetic opening. If this bag gets over stuffed it’s not staying closed. Also needs a shoulder straps hooks but the magnetic opening definitely wouldn’t work well with strap points on the ends.

The straps on this tote are so thin and the bag is so bulky that the straps need to be held together while you wear it or the strap far from your body will just slip off - the magnet on the strap is not that strong. I really came to EVERGOODS from the 2019 CPL24 and fell in love with their normally well thought out design. There are other totes on the market that have thin straps that just add a bit of texture to keep them on the shoulder. These are not only thin, they are made with slippery seat belt material. Just awful design. Very disappointed that I had to PAY to return it.

CIVIC Daily Tote 24L - Konbu

Much more comfortable than I feared. I needed a bag that stands upright and is easily accessible from the top in a tight workspace, and this one fits those requirements perfectly, but I was afraid of choosing something different than a backpack. The carrying handles are more comfortable than they seem from the pictures, and for me they are the perfect length (I'm 5'7"). Best part of this bag is the colour and the fabric, that's absolutely gorgeous. I like that it slightly changes colour depending on the angle that you look at it, and the texture of the fabric is great, I hope that the crinkle doesn't wear off in use.

Love this tote. I have other totes in my rotation, but none of them have the structure and ability to stand up like this one does. The magnetic closure is fantastic. When I opened mine, I stuffed a large memory foam pillow inside mine and let it puff up. My magnetic closure does not snap shut as much as I have seen other reviewers mention it, so I wonder if that's why. The only downside to this is the water bottle holders. I don't see why it can't be made like the duffel water bottle holders. It's a minor issue but i'm sure many would agree it would be a fantastic upgrade to the bag!

CIVIC Daily Tote 24L

This is a really fantastic tote bag, with a lot of smart features. The magnetic top is themain event, and to be honest, I thought this would be a gimmick, and... of course I ended up loving it. It snaps securely closed every time, keeps out rain and actually stays closed, even when I put a water bottle in it and shook it upside down. (I did this purely to see if the bag would open, I don't live some kind of mad life.) Generally I found I could get the tote to stay open when I wanted it to - kind of tucking the flaps down and in seemed to make that happen. But access was so quick that I usually always kept it closed. The front admin panel is great and very useful. The drop pocket on the back I love, and the magnetic luggage pass through is genius. The interior of the bag is masterful - the waterbottle pockets are useful but genuinely disappear when you don't need them. The laptop sleeve is suspended and also moves back and forth, so it can either be against the wall of the bag or in the middle, to divide the stuff you're carrying. It also has a second device pocket, so it was great for carrying my laptop and my kindle. The size works great for travel, shopping and work, all of which I have done with it. Also, I don't know enough about textile manufacturing to know if the textile Evergoods had created for the handle is unique or not, but I do know the handles are the smoothest I've ever held. What a great bag! I've rated 4 stars for one reason only, which is that I would dearly love a good strap for carrying it crossbody style. The handles are smooth, which is great for hand carrying, but what I have found is this means they tend to slip off my shoulder quite easily. So recently I was on a trip with a 70l duffel on my back and carrying the tote, and there were multiple times when I needed two hands, and this simply wasn't possbile as the bag wouldn't stay on my shoulder. Add two d-rings to the ends of the bag, let me clip on a nice padded strap and this would be my favourite bag ever I think.

I bought this as a gift for my wife, I hoped it to be the end-all tote for work and travel. She regularly carries a laptop, cables, chargers, notebooks, jacket, water bottle and sometimes a small umbrella. It fits all of these things with room to spare. The magnetic closure works great, the organization in the pockets, and the build quality are all first rate. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it's a bit overpriced; several other pieces from Evergoods seem better aligned in the cost to functionality ratio. Also, it's slightly oversized for a small frame person (my wife is 5'3"); a 20L option would probably sell like hotcakes.

CIVIC Daily Tote 24L

I was looking for a tote made with high quality materials and craftsmanship which also made sense for my particular use case. My requirements were as follows: I needed a tote that could comfortably fit 1) a laptop with laptop case, 2) an ipad and e-reader inside a padded case, and 3) a 40oz Owala water bottle. These are the main items I use day-in and day-out at work. Additional features such as a place to store paperwork, pens, etc were all welcome bonuses. For my use case, this tote is perfect. I appreciate that the magnetic opening gives me easier and faster access to my items. I like that there are a couple places to store paperwork on the go without risk of creasing. The 40oz Owala just fits. I also appreciate how structured it is and that it stands up on its own. It's simply an extremely well designed, high quality tote. My only criticism is that the handles aren't particularly comfortable for wearing on the shoulder. I think it would have been wise to have hidden O or D rings on the ends of the tote so people could optionally attach their own longer messenger-style shoulder strap. Also, shorter handles would make carrying by hand a bit more comfortable. As it stands, the bag is less than optimal for either carry method. That said, I carry it by hand because it works for me as someone who is 6'3". It hangs pretty low to the ground but it works. I considered many other bag options and truly think this is overall the best of the best for what I need out of a work bag.

I was looking for something quicker and easier to access for my business trips. I travel frequently across the US and Asia, and sometimes it’s just a few days or the situation doesn’t require my CP26. This has honestly been a game changer. I usually pack a 16" laptop, Steam Deck, two power banks, an iPad Pro, one 2L access pouch, one 1L pouch, headphones, plus small stuff like keys, wallet, etc. and everything fits easily. The magnets are great. It’s a totally different experience compared to zippers, I personally love it. The handle also stays vertical, which is super convenient. If you’re waiting for the metro or elevator, you can just set it down and pick it up quickly. I’m 5'10" with a broad build and the carry feels comfortable overall. My only wish is that the bottle compartments were fully closed instead of having a hole at the bottom. I usually use those spaces to store smaller items in other totes that need quick access, like power banks.

So this was the result of being knee deep in magnets. Totes were never really my style but seeing as I've come to collect the whole Black/Coyote Xpac collection I went ahead and bought it. Seems like a very useful personal item on flights as it will mostly spend its time riding on the roller luggage. The magnets were a big selling point too because I wanted to find out "how do they work". The handles are perfect length for me. I'm 5'8" and there's a few inches of clearance from the ground with hand carry.

Perfect feature set for me. But I'm not sure how it's going to hold up. I've only used it for a week, wearing it on my should but it's got all these sharp creases. The reason it's perfect for me is I was looking for a tote that could stand on its own, could let me carry my bit water bottle and a coffee (both metal), a lunch with plenty of room if I need to throw something in it over the course of the day. It's not absolutely perfect though. In addition to the fabric acting a little funny the magnetic top makes me wish that there was some way to pin back or strap down the magnetic closure so I could just have the bag open when I want.

It’s the only tote that made me interested in this form factor. The 24L size is plenty generous for my daily needs. Evergoods continues to impress me and I’m excited to see what lies ahead for 2026. I found the magnetic opening to be a fair compromise to have a combination of ease of use while still giving incredible security from theft and weather. It can stay open with one flap half raised up and the other down, but this may depend on how much the tote is filled. I wish there were drainage holes on the open pocket. Maybe the handles could be shortened a bit as in the hand it does hang low, definitely better in shoulder carry. Great unisex bag that crosses over from work to play.

When I’m working out of this bag (daily, that’s why I bought it), I want to leave it open. The magnet snaps closed every time and requires two hands to re-open. If it were a zipper, 5 stars.

I am a huge fan of all Evergoods products, including this tote. It's a great size to do it all, from using it for the office or even packing for a weekend trip. My favorite part of the bag is the side with luggage pass through that is so discrete and sleek. Love that there is a pocket there for dumping items like books for quick access. The part I'm iffiest about is the magnetic closure. One one had, I do love it more than a zipper. I just wish there was a way to have it be open without it shutting instantly. Overall though, I love this product, have zero regrets.

I use the CDT daily as my work bag. It’s has plenty of room for my laptop, iPad, food, change of clothes, and beverages. The use of magnets for the closure, straps, and luggage pass through is slick. I’m 6’2” 185 and the straps are plenty long to put over my shoulder with one hand. Construction is solid. Between this and my CHZ 26 I have all the bags I need for work and travel, but I plan on purchasing again from Evergoods when new items are released.

CIVIC Daily Tote 24L

This daily driver is perfect, perfect for your digital nomad needs. The slings are just long enough to comfortably shoulder sling without having to contort your arm, yet short enough they don’t get in the way. The organisation inside is phenomenal, I can fit my AER tech pouch (very fully loaded) in the water bottle pockets on either side. Luggage pass through makes this a viable short haul carry-on. The magnetic closure however, is INGENIOUS. It snaps shut almost automatically, which can prove to be abit annoying. However I’ve got to admit a certain level of satisfaction opening it each time. It closes perfectly, always. I swear it’s more weather resistant than a YKK aqua guard zipper.

I absolutely adore this bag. It was going to be just be my gym bag but I find myself taking this thing everywhere. I love the magnetic closure and the internal organization. I purchased a third party shoulder strap because I thought it needed one. I like that the strap I bought tucks away neatly in the drop pocket on the back. All that being said I’ve only used the shoulder strap I bought a single time in the past 2 months. Not sure why so many people sleep on the tote form factor. It is easily the most useful and functional bag in my vast collection. Shopping, Office, Gym, Family outings. This bag just gets shit done and looks damn good while doing it.

This tote holds its shape well and can be dressed up or down. It's a great alternative to a backpack for me, especially in more professional settings. It is very spacious, was able to back 3 days of travel into this tote! Unfortunately the laptop sleeve is not padded on the bottom, which was disappointing for the price. Overall happy with the purchase.
