POSITION: Wholesale Manager
LOCATION:  Bozeman, Montana

SALARY RANGE: $80,000 to $95,000 DOE

ROLE:

The Wholesale Manager oversees all aspects of EVERGOODS wholesale and corporate sales program, from account acquisition to order fulfillment. This role is responsible for building and maintaining strong  relationships with retail partners, negotiating terms, and ensuring the timely delivery of products. The Wholesale Manager works closely with Marketing, Operations, and Customer Experience teams to meet revenue targets, optimize pricing strategies, and uphold brand standards in all wholesale channels. Key duties include managing purchase orders, monitoring inventory levels for wholesale accounts, coordinating logistics, and identifying opportunities to expand market reach. The Wholesale Manager may be required to travel up to 20% of their working hours both domestically and internationally for meetings with partners and business development.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy and Business Development

  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to develop and establish a written Wholesale business plan, including the following:
  • Yearly goals and priorities, market research, target markets, product ranges, and pricing.
  • How accounts will be managed, 1,3, and 5 year sales and growth targets, strategies for increasing current partners’ sales, and analytics & reporting plans.
  • Enhance, develop, and record standard operation procedures for the Wholesale Manager role.
  • Lead "store-in-store" discussions while ensuring authentic brand execution. Identify and mitigate risks for this new venture.

Account Management

  • Identify, prospect, and build strong relationships with national and international accounts, aligning with EVERGOODS’ selective strategy.
  • Negotiate favorable terms with partners and suppliers and translate those to their respective agreements, schedules, and digital accounts.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for order inquiries, product updates, and account support.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with partners to review sell-through, gather feedback, and identify new opportunities.
  • Leverage wholesale and corporate partners’ audiences to promote and grow EVERGOODS’ brand awareness. This includes placement in partners’ email programs, media about EVERGOODS’ across social channels, and promotion of EVERGOODS in physical stores.
  • Ensure partners receive timely product knowledge, merchandising assets, and promotional materials.

Sales & Growth

  • Identify, outreach, and onboard new retail partners aligned with the brand’s positioning.
  • Develop a prebooking program for upcoming seasons and product launches.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and minimum order quantities to meet sales and margin targets.
  • Coordinate with marketing to support product launches, campaigns, and in-store activations.

Travel and On-Site Meetings

  • Travel to and meet with wholesale partners in person to build relationships, negotiate terms, host co-branded events, and assist with merchandising of EVERGOODS products in stores. Depending on the partner, travel can be domestic or international and can be up to 1-2 weeks at a time.
  • Meet with partners who are in Bozeman to review product lines, build relationships, and negotiate terms.

Order & Inventory Management

  • Oversee the complete wholesale and corporate sales order lifecycle from purchase order entry to fulfillment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production to ensure stock availability for wholesale accounts.
  • Implement efficient inventory control and demand forecasting
  • Work with the warehouse team to ensure wholesale orders are packed accurately and shipped on schedule.
  • Coordinate with wholesale and corporate sales partners on RTVs, warranty requests, and account credits in partnership with customer service, finance, and operations. Find scalable solutions to streamline this process as the company grows.

Financial and Analytical Oversight

  • Fully own the P&L of the wholesale program.
  • Analyze pricing and margins for profitability.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs for data-driven decisions in tandem with the Operations Manager and Finance.
  • Track wholesale and corporate sales performance metrics, including sell-through rates, order volumes, and account profitability.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly sales recap meetings with Marketing and Finance Departments.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform wholesale strategies.
  • Provide leadership with regular performance reports and growth recommendations.

Brand Representation & Standards

  • Develop and deploy in-store merchandising standards, from product displays to signage to hangtags, in tandem with the Product Team, Brand Manager, COO, and Operations Manager.
  • Ensure all wholesale and corporate sales partners adhere to brand and merchandising guidelines for product presentation and pricing.
  • Monitor and address any unauthorized discounting or misrepresentation of products.

Digital Online Presence

  • Collaborate with the E-commerce Manager to own the wholesale and bulk/corporate sales online store for self-service ordering, shipping, merchandising, and account management.
  • Collaborate with the E-commerce Manager to establish a digital corporate sales portal for ordering, customization, and bulk discounts.
  • In partnership with the E-commerce Manager, maintain and update the digital wholesale site, from inventory management to asset management and product page presentation.

Collaboration

  • Partner with the design and production teams to provide wholesale-driven product feedback.
  • Work closely with logistics to coordinate domestic and international shipments.
  • Collaborate with customer service to resolve wholesale inquiries and order issues quickly.

Corporate Sales Specific Responsibilities

  • Solicit new corporate sales partners and scale gross revenue driven from the corporate sales program.
  • Develop partnerships with corporations or businesses who elevate EVERGOODS’ brand awareness and assist in customer acquisition goals.
  • Cultivate current and repeating corporate partnerships with enhanced product offerings and pricing.
  • Coordinate with marketing and design teams to produce custom bulk orders for corporate sales clients.

AREAS OF SUPPORT
Depending on the type, size, or customization requirements of wholesale or corporate sales orders, the Wholesale Manager may be required to physically assist the warehouse with the order fulfillment process.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in wholesale sales, business development, or account management for a physical consumer goods brand, with demonstrated experience scaling a wholesale program and delivering meaningful revenue growth.
  • Proven track record of identifying, securing, and growing relationships with national and independent retail partners.
  • Experience developing wholesale sales plans, revenue forecasts, prebooking programs, and account growth strategies.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including managing revenue targets, pricing, margins, account profitability, and negotiating commercial terms.
  • Ability to analyze sales and sell-through data and translate findings into account, assortment, forecasting, and inventory decisions.
  • Strong relationship management, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple accounts, sales cycles, launches, and seasonal deadlines.
  • Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally for account meetings, events, and business development.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience within the outdoor, apparel, accessories, luggage, or premium consumer goods industries, particularly at an independent or emerging brand during a period of significant growth.
  • Experience managing relationships with major national retailers, specialty retailers, and international distributors.
  • Experience owning or contributing directly to a wholesale P&L.
  • Strong understanding of inventory planning, order management, allocation, and the operational requirements of a physical consumer goods business.
  • Experience developing merchandising standards, seasonal catalogs, sales tools, in-store brand programs, or corporate and bulk sales programs.
