HOURS: Full-Time, In-Person
SALARY RANGE: $65,000 to $80,000 DOE

Role:

The People & Office Operations Manager is responsible for managing core Human Resources functions as well as the daily administrative operation of the Evergoods office environment.

This position fosters a healthy and productive office environment by supporting the people, systems and spaces related to Evergoods’ work.

Duties:

The role manages core Human Resources and office operations, including payroll and benefits administration, recruiting, onboarding and offboarding, company policies, and employee support. Responsibilities also include administering Google Workspace and Shared Drives, maintaining user access and digital resources, overseeing office facilities and supplies, managing equipment inventory and service providers, and coordinating company-wide events and communications..

Primary Responsibilities - Human Resources

Recruiting

  • Coordinate the recruiting process from job posting through onboarding.
  • Schedule interviews and manage candidate communications.
  • Support hiring managers throughout the hiring process.
  • Prepare offer letters and onboarding materials.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation.

Employee Administration

  • Maintain employee records and HRIS data.
  • Track Vacation and Sick Leave and employee status changes.
  • Support employee recognition and engagement initiatives.
  • Serve as a resource for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and payroll.
  • Initial setup of Google Workspace user accounts, email setup, groups and permissions.

Payroll & Benefits

  • Process semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time.
  • Maintain payroll records.
  • Coordinate benefit enrollments and qualifying life events.
  • Work with benefit brokers and payroll providers.
  • Administer retirement plan enrollment and changes.
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment.

This role is administrative in nature and is not expected to serve as the company's compliance expert.

Primary Responsibilities - Office Operations

Physical Office Environment

  • Oversee day-to-day office operations and administrative functions.
  • Procure, inventory and allocate computer equipment, furniture and office supplies.
  • Coordinate facility maintenance and workplace improvements.
  • Develop and improve administrative processes and workflows.
  • Maintain company records and documentation.
  • Be the point person for leases and insurance related to office and warehouse space.
  • Plan and coordinate company meetings, events, and communications.

Digital Workspace

  • Maintenance of Google Workspace user accounts, groups and permissions.
  • Quarterly audit of Shared Drive access and security standards.
  • Manage software licenses and SaaS subscriptions.
  • Maintain company device inventory and allocation.
  • Coordinate employee technology onboarding and offboarding.
  • Educate and promote best practices for data organization, security, and collaboration.
  • Provide first-level troubleshooting for employee technology issues.
  • Coordinate with external IT vendors as needed.

This position is not responsible for network engineering or cybersecurity but serves as the company’s Google Workspace coordinator and first point of contact for technology support.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in operations, office management, executive support, human
  • resources, or business administration.
  • Experience processing payroll and administering employee benefits.
  • Experience coordinating new hire recruiting and onboarding.
  • Advanced proficiency with Google Workspace, including Drive administration and document organization.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
  • High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Preferred

  • Experience with HRIS platforms.
  • Payroll software experience, OnPay a plus.
  • Google Workspace Administrator experience.
  • Experience in consumer products, manufacturing, or the outdoor industry.
  • Experience with Monday.com, or similar collaboration platforms.
