Hey there,

Thank you to everybody who has pre-ordered the X-Pac CAP0.5. I wanted to talk about what it's typically like to place a purchase order with our factory and the timeline for receipt of goods.

Our factory partner services many clients and in order for these factories to manage their manufacturing capacities, they work with all brands to create factory exit strategies over a year in advance. This forecasting so far in advance is challenging for a small brand but it forces us to attempt to understand when we need to order products so that we can receive them in time to sell them in line with our marketing initiatives.

The factory takes these forecasted exit schedules from all brands and uses them to manage how to best use all of its inline sewing capacity. EVERGOODS uses, in large part, fabrics that are made to order for nearly all our factory production runs. The longest lead time of these materials can take up to 60-90 days from time of order to being delivered to the factory. The factory then needs another 60 or so days to receive all the materials, cut them, organize them, and make them ready for production.

Then typically another series of weeks for the actual production, quality inspection with our team, and packaging before goods are handed over to the import company. Then it is 5-8 weeks on the ocean, and in the truck to Bozeman to our warehouse. So, typically 6-8 months from initial order to receipt of goods in house for shipment to you.

Because CAP0.5 uses such a small yield of materials and the fact that our material suppliers have minimum order requirements for these materials, it turns out that we have on hand nearly enough leftover materials and trims to produce another run of CAP0.5, but nothing else. In speaking with the factory, and because we have most of the materials on hand already, they have told us that they will be able to go into production in September.

What this means is that we should be able to receive these goods via air freight (yay tiny little pouch) into Bozeman by early October.

The swiftness of this re-order is not typical but we are glad it is turning out this way and hope the expedited delivery might make snagging one of these an easier choice.

Because this is a big change from our original spring 2025 estimate, and we heard some folks wanted to order but did not because of the long wait, the X-Pac CAP0.5 preorder deadline has been extended to Thursday, July 11th at 12:00pm MST. At that time, we will place the order with our factory and get this in motion.

Thanks for following along since forever.

Onwards,
Jack Barley
