JOB TITLE: Warehouse Manager

HOURS:  Full-Time (M-F), In-person 

LOCATION:  Belgrade, Montana, USA 

ROLE:  

As our Warehouse Manager, you will oversee daily warehouse operations—from incoming shipments and inventory management to order picking, packing, and shipping. You’ll lead a small team, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timeliness in all tasks. Because our processes are primarily manual right now, we need someone experienced in process improvement and system implementation who can bring our warehouse operations to the next level.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Daily Warehouse Operations

  • Manage receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure orders go out accurately and on time

  • Evaluate current inventory control systems and identify opportunities to optimize organization and efficiency

  • Identify inefficiencies in current processes and propose/execute improvements

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise warehouse staff and utilize temp agencies for occasional high volume days

  • Conduct ongoing coaching and performance evaluations

  • Foster a collaborative environment focused on safety, quality, and efficiency

Process Improvement & System Implementation

  • Evaluate opportunities for automation or software adoption (e.g., Warehouse Management Systems)

  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop KPIs and measure operational performance

  • Streamline workflows to reduce handling time, shipping errors, and overall costs

Quality & Safety Assurance

  • Enforce health and safety protocols to maintain a clean, safe working environment

  • Ensure products are handled according to quality standards, minimizing damage and returns

  • Manage routine maintenance of warehouse equipment as needed

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with the Customer Experience/Fulfillment team to resolve order or shipping issues

  • Own vendor and carrier relationships — proactively negotiate rates, resolve logistics challenges, and ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of goods

  • Collaborate with product and management teams on inventory forecasts, new product launches, and storage needs

RELEVANT SKILLS: 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse management or a related leadership role.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, capable of overseeing both internal teams and external partners.

  • Experience implementing systems or processes in a manual warehouse environment is preferred.

  • Familiarity with shipping carriers, order fulfillment platforms, and basic inventory software.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.

  • Comfortable with basic budgeting/cost analysis and scheduling, including managing container deliveries and temp labor.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with international factory partners and domestic logistics providers to streamline inbound and outbound shipments.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to efficiently coordinate high-volume shipping days, including hiring and managing temp workers, and shifting priorities under pressure to maintain timely fulfillment.
