At a materials show a few years ago, we came across a beautiful textile developed in Japan.

It felt familiar at first glance, but the moment we picked it up, we knew it was something else entirely. Crisp, dry, and structured, it had a uniform crepe texture that held its shape.

It was Konbu.

Made from 100% recycled nylon, Konbu is defined by its distinctive hand feel and engineered structure. A proprietary process swells each fiber to create a fabric that is lightweight yet dense, and reminiscent of deep water seaweed. Paired with a matte surface and rich tonal depth, it has a presence that feels both refined and distinctive.

We were able to secure a small batch of Konbu material and then chose three of our favorite silhouettes to bring it to life:

Tomorrow at 8am MST on our site, the limited quantities will be released.

On the Evergoods site, we have 300 units of CAP1 and CAP2, plus 400 units of CDT24. Select retailers will have a small amount of Konbu inventory. See below for more information.
