    Developed in Japan, Konbu is a textile that immediately stands apart. With the familiar look of canvas, it feels entirely different in hand, a crisp, dry nylon with a natural crepe texture and a structured feel that holds its shape. For this capsule, we built our adaptive organizer in a Konbu shell, pairing its lightweight structure and rich matte depth with our signature layout to create a CAP2 that emphasizes form, feel, and everyday utility.

    IT’S KONBU

    Konbu is a 100% recycled nylon textile inspired by the texture and character of seaweed. Developed in Japan using a proprietary process, each fiber is swollen and compressed to create a dense, structured fabric with a crisp, dry hand feel and uniform crepe texture that gives it a refined, uniform character from day one.

    STRUCTURED TEXTURE, LIGHTER WEIGHT

    Konbu has a familiar, canvas-like presence but is constructed from lightweight nylon, resulting in weight savings to that of comparable structured materials. This delivers a textile that holds its shape, maintains durability, and sheds some of the expected bulk.
