Ergonomic shoulder straps with Zote EV50 foam.  Contours around shoulder, upper and lower back with excellent surface area contact with body for load distribution.  Incredibly stable carry over uneven terrain.

Exterior side pockets built from hard-wearing mountain apparel grade 4-way stretch woven for easy access to gloves, 1 liter water bottles, sunglasses, etc.  Holds contents close and expands for larger items. Simple fold-over construction reduces catching.  Elastic inside top edge is protected from abrasion, helps contain items and maintain a low-profile.  Bottom pleat expands to create volume.  Corner cutouts allow dirt and debris to passively escape.

Stabilizes load for stable, solid carry.  Easily removable for activities where added stability, load transfer are not required.

Right and left shoulder ports have no velrco, no elastic, and no moving parts.  Easy to use and will not break over time.

420d high tenacity nylon 6,6 main shell fabric with PU knifecoat on back side.  Balance weave for equal tear strength in both directions.
